Wade Thurman, Senior Art Director
Wade Thurman, Senior Art Director, joined L&S in 2000. Wade works with various tourism clients to develop creative looks and campaigns that resonate with target audiences. He specializes in creative concepting and design with an emphasis on typography and illustration design, working largely with print advertising, logo design, brochures, collateral and digital design for the web.
In the travel industry, Wade is the lead artist on South Dakota Tourism advertising and has worked to evolve the look of the Giant Step campaign over the years. Each year, Wade oversees and art directs photography and television shoots for South Dakota Tourism, which have included everything from helicopter aerial footage to shooting live bears up close. He has also developed tourism-specific logomarks for clients such as Visit Custer and Visit Spearfish.
Wade has a double degree in Visual Arts/Graphic Design and Advertising from South Dakota State University and has earned several advertising awards over the years for his work.
